My Movie Fan Fiction Reviews

The True End

This fan fiction is based on the movie (500) days of Summer. The movie is about Tom's pursuit of love and the events that unfold during his time with Summer over a span of 500 days. The fan fiction shows Tom's final confrontation with Summer. A lot of time has passed since the last time Tom had seen Summer. He is now happily engaged to Autumn, a woman he loves wholeheartedly. The setting takes place at Tom's engagement celebration where an unexpected visitor arrives at the scene... Summer.

I enjoyed reading this fan fiction, it was short but sweet. I liked the idea that the Author portrayed in this fan fiction. It did not stray from the movie's main idea and surely pleased fans who wanted to see what would happen if Tom and Summer ever crossed paths again. The idea the Author tried to project was that even though you do not find true love the first time, there is a great possibility it will come by you another time. And never leave a door unopened because you will never know whats on the other side unless you open it.

This fan fiction is based on the movie Salt. The movie is about Evelyn Salt, a CIA Agent who is living a double life until she is called upon to fulfill her mission as a Russian spy. This fan fiction is told through Evelyn who recollects the thoughts and memories of her past. Growing up, Evelyn was trained not to feel emotion, feel no pain or any kind of remorse. However the events that unfold in her life as a CIA agent made her question her motives. It shows the fans why she had a change of heart in the movie.

This was another enjoyable fan fiction. I liked how it was told through a first person perspective and how it made the readers feel as if they are in the mind of Evelyn Salt herself. The movie itself was very enjoyable, and the events that lead up to the climax was very exciting. The fan fiction gives us a reason why she decided to change her ways at the end of the film. It also shows that even if a person is incapable of showing feelings, there will always be something inside of them that will spark their emotions. For Evelyn it was spending time in Korea being tortured and finding someone who would sacrifice anything to make sure their loved one is not harmed.

This fan fiction is based on the movie, Wanted. The movie is about a man named Wesley Gibson and how his life had changed after being introduced and exposed to a fraternity of assassins. This fan fiction is about the decoy that was used as the end of the movie so Wesley could kill the leader of the fraternity, Sloan. In the movie, it was never revealed who the decoy was or where Wes met him. The fanfic answers those questions with a surprising twist.

This fan fiction was a very interesting and entertaining read. The author tries something different and offers a comedic approach to the movie. The movie itself is filled with fast-paced action with gun slinging assassins with a more serious plot line. This fan fiction breaks the serious concept and offers the readers something to crack a laugh at. Die hard fans would probably be disappointed in this fanfic because of the crude humour in it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading it and I'm pretty sure the author had alot of fun writing it aswell.

This fan fiction is about the movie, Ninja Assassin. The movie is about ninjas and is filled with alot of action and centres around a ninja named Raizo. Raizo, a gifted ninja, is being hunted down by his former clan after defying them and being exiled. The fanfic lets the fans indulge in events that occur after Raizo defeats the leader of the Ozunu clan. The fall of the Ozunu clan frees members from the grips of ninjahood, but also leaves some members thirsty for revenge. There are also other ninja clans that will eventually target the vulnerable and weakened members of the Ozunu clan. Mika, a non-ninja is also at risk of being attacked, so Raizo is determined to keep her at all costs.

This fan fiction is currently at two chapters and does not seem to complete. It was definitely not what I expected. At first, it seemed like a good read because it was going towards the direction of being a more action-oriented fanfic. With the discovery of more ninja clans, it would only mean one thing... more people to kill. However, it began to take a more romantic direction with Raizo vowing to protect Mika and the introduction of a female character named Yuuki. Personally, I believe that fans generally wouldn't want to read a fanfic that strays away from the genre of the movie. And with Ninja Assassin being an obvious "all action, no plot" kind of movie, I was quite disappointed reading this fan fiction.

This fan fiction is based on a popular Japanese film called Crows Zero. Takiya Genji, a delinquent teen wants to prove to his father that he has the ability to lead the Yakuza. He sets out on a mission to conquer a corrupt high school by the name of Suzuran, where the students make the rules. Each class is conquered by fighting and Takiya's goal is to become the powerhouse of the school. The fan fiction is about Takiya on his quest to rule the school. He wants to beat Rindaman, a student who he has fought numerously but every time has lost. He decides to seek help from his school mates to find a way to defeat Rindaman.

This fan fiction was fun to read. I am a big fan of Crows Zero and was happy to find an English fan fiction written about this movie. The characters are seen placing bets on who wins the fight between Takiya and Rindaman. This follows the movie very well because it is something you could imagine the characters doing. There is one negative thing about this fan fiction though, the author does not transition the scenes very well so it feels as if the events are happening at the same time at the same location. The author differentiates the scenes by adding a "xxx" which was not all too helpful. Being more descriptive wouldn't have been a bad idea either.
